Full Time Engineer (Commencing April 2010)

A 35m private motor yacht with a busy schedule requires an experienced and suitably qualified full-time engineer to join our crew of five.

The successful candidate will be a mature, practical, hands-on individual with a sound understanding of a diverse range of systems. They must be willing to participate in a four week (paid) handover with the current engineer.

The vessel is a Sydney based motor yacht. It travels extensively on the east coast of Australia for six to eight months of the year.

The position is a live aboard position.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • First Aid - Advanced First Aid
  • Recreational Boat License
Highly Desirable
  • Safety - Elements of Shipboard Safety
  • Safety - STCW95 Basic Crew Safety
  • Safety - STCW95 Safety Training
  • Safety - STCW95 Personal Survival Techniques
  • Safety - STCW95 Fire Prevention & Basic Firefighting
  • Safety - STCW95 Personal Safety & Social Responsibility
Advantageous
  • Dive - PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Engineer - Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 (MEDII) - 5+ Years Experience.
  • Engineer - Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 (MED I) - 5+ Years Experience.
  • Boat Yard Experience - 5+ Years Experience.
  • Engineer - Engineer Class 3 - 5+ Years Experience.
  • Detailing / Cleaning Experience - Vessel Exteriors - 5+ Years Experience.
  • Deckhand Experience - 5+ Years Experience.
