We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic applicants for the role of Marine Centre Manager, based at Heron Island Resort, reporting to the Resort General Manager, your role is to maintain and continually strive to improve the efficiency, profitability, upkeep and safety standards of all products and dive vessels associated with the operation of the Marine/Dive Department of Heron Island, whilst providing activities and services in line with the levels of Resort guests’ expectations and relevant industry standards.

With excellent communication skills you will be a confident individual and an experienced public speaker used to supervising large groups of people with the ability to engage and motivate your audience providing an interactive, yet safe marine experience. Your attention to detail will be key in this role as will strong organisational skills and the ability to take control and give directions to other crew and guests in the event of an emergency.

Applicants should possess:

• Master V, MED 2
• Current PADI Dive Instructor
• Current Dive Medical Certificate (AS 2299)
• QLD Workplace Health & Safety at Sea
• Regulators technicians Certificate (not mandatory)
• Restricted Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency in radiotelephony
• Current Insurance
• First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Unrestricted/Open Drivers License
• Oxygen Provider Certificate
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Team player
